So.... I have seriously been slacking in the blogging department! I started working full time as a nurse at the end of August and the last thing I want to do when I get home from a long day is blog, however, this is tooo long! We have been busy and enjoying lots of fun things from aug-now. We are loving living in Texas and we are gearing up for hopefully buying a new house in May of this year. Since we have been married we have never really had a place that we can call our own. The first two years we lived in my grandma's house in Springville , UT while she was out of her home in an assisted living center. Then we moved to Texas and have been living with my parents, which we love, but are very excited to have our own place.

In September my sweet grandma passed away, so Jake and I and Britton and my whole family went out to Utah to attend her funeral. It was such a wonderful time to spend with family and loved ones. It was a special treat to get to see Jake's family while we were there. We were only there for parts of 4 days, so my apologies to everyone we didnt get to see while we were out there.

The first part of December we were able to go with my family ( all 19 of us ) to disneyworld in Florida. My parents have a timeshare out there that we get to go to every other year . Jake and I were so excited to be able to get to watch the joys of Disney through our little Brittons eyes! He loved all the rides and getting to see all the characters.

I also got called to be in the young womens presidency here in our ward and am LOVING getting to know such wonderful girls, I couldnt have asked for a better calling. Jake is in Nursery and the kids adore him. We both love our ward and the opportunity to serve in both of these areas.

Britton is growing up so fast and has quite the vocabulary. He can say about 50 different words, including names of animals and types of foods that he is wanting. We started watching baby signing time with him when he was about 9 months old and he signs thing like : more, water, please, thank you, sorry, bird, milk, banana, car, and hi and goodbye. I cant believe he is almost 17 months old. We love spending time with him and watching him soak up the world like a little sponge. He has been an amazing sleeper for us, goes to bed about 730 or 800 pm and then wakes up about 1000 am and then takes a 3 hour nap. This makes sense because while he is awake he burns about 5000 calories running around and exploring everything around him. He is the best and cracks us up!

We are excited for a new year and look forward to all the wonderful things 2011 will bring. Happy new year everyone and my new years resolution is to blog at least once a month, we will see how long this lasts :)
