shower in texas
My mom, sister Cheryl, sister in law Elizabeth, cousins : Heather, Moriah, and Darla, and Aunt Cheree and Moriah's little boy Shad and Darla's little boy Barron all came to celebrate with me at the Cheesecake Factory!!!
BABY SHOWERS 1,2,3 !!! I loved all of them :)
So..... I'll back up a bit! In April my cute mom informed me that she wanted to fly out to Utah to throw me a baby shower. I was sooo excited thinking about having all my family get together to celebrate the new arrival of Britton :) My mom even let me pick the food. After much thought, I decided it was a no brainer to have Cafe Rio come and cater it. It was AMAZING food. I got their enchiladas, which came with rice and beans, salad, tres leches, and a key lime pie! My mom teamed up with Jake's mom and they threw me a fantastic shower! Thank you to all who were able to come and thanks for all of the fun gifts!!
I decided to go home to Texas one last time before Britton arrived, so my mom decided it would be fun to have another shower with all my sisters and sisters in law and cousins that live in Texas. We all went to Cheesecake factory for delicious food and fun gifts!!
My last but not least shower was thrown for me by my two cute friends Dana Davis ( Hathaway ) and Lisa Hennefer ( Smith ). They had delicious homemade chicken salad sandwiches, artichoke dip, a yummy fruit salad, and to die for homemade cinnamon rolls that read, " Im almost here, Im on my way; Im the reason you celebrate today. You've planned and prepared for me to arrive, Love is the reason I'm alive! So thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for helping my mom and dad to give me a great start. Thank you from Michelle's bun in the oven. This darling little quote was attached to the cinnamon rolls. We played the fun game where you have to guess which melted chocolate bar is melted in each diaper, we played a game where you have to remember your nursery rhymes and then Dana had us play " baby bingo", where each space had a little baby object!! Thank you girls for throwing it and thank you to all who came and for all the darling gifts!!
It was so fun to get so many new fun things for Britton and to able to put it all in his little nursery. I go in there everyday and look at all the new fun things for him. Jake's parents got us a WAY nice pack and play for him to sleep in until we move to Texas. It has lights and sounds and a changing table. I have not done a ton with the nursery, but will do lots more when we move. alrighty, enjoy the pictures!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUSBAND!!!!
My cute husband Jake is turning 26 TODAY!!!!! I thought I would write 26 things that I love about him!!!
1. I love that he lets me sleep RIGHT next to him. Nine times out of ten , he almost falls out of bed , but he loves me so much, he doesn't make me move :)
2. He is gorgeous!! The first time I saw him, i was OBSESSED with his smile, this guy has the best teeth I have ever seen!
3. He is an AMAZING cook!! He cooks me breakfast about 4-5 times a week and dinner about 3-4 times a week! He makes yummy breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, german pancakes, lasagna rolls, enchiladas, chicken divine, hamburgers on the grill, chicken parmasean, banana cream pie, and MANY MANY MANY more things!!
4. He is a great singer! I tell him this, but I dont think he believes me! My friends have even told him he is a good singer!
5. He is VERY entertaining! I rarely go through a whole day without Jake doing a cute little dance or song for me in our living room or bedroom! He makes me laugh all the time!
6. He treats me better than I have ever been treated! I love that he always calls me babe and is always so cute to me!
7. He is great at sports! I have been able to see him play LOTS of basketball and I love watching him play!
8. He dresses great! I have always been kinda weird about how a guy I date dresses, I actually didnt go out on another date with a guy that was really cute, cause i HATED his shoes! Jake always looks amazing!
9. He is so fun to travel with! We have been able to go on lots of little trips and vacations since we have been married! Jake is pretty much always in a good mood, so it makes for a really fun travel companion!
10. He is a great golfer ! He has been golfing quite a bit lately and has been doing fabulous! I watched him hit some balls in the yard yesterday, and this kid has great form :)
11. He is someone EVERYONE loves! There are some types of people in the world that when you introduce them to people that you hope and pray everyone likes them, but Jake is someone that I pretty much already know that people will LOVE!!
12. He gives great massages! Now that I am pregnant, I want a massage about every day and Jake is always willing to give me one, even when he is SUPER tired!
13. He is soooo supportive! Jake has yet to miss a doctors appointment with me! He is supportive of me with everything that I do!
14. Jake is a great speaker. he teaches in elders quorum and people come and tell he and I both all the time what a great job he does.
15. Jake is very smart! He is one of those people that seems to know a little bit, actually a lot about everything! I am a science nerd , who knows pretty much nothing about politics or business or stuff like that!
16. He has the best family ever! I know a lot of people that " tolerate" their in-laws, but I seriously LOVE mine! They really are some of my best friends!
17. I love how punctual he always is! Im working really hard to try and help him accomplish this! He is always ready on time, but usually has to wait a minute or two for me!
18. He will be such a good daddy!! he is so fun to watch get all excited to be Brittons dad! I love watching him hold little babies, it melts my little heart!
19. He is very helpful! He is always helping someone move, or is always just doing little things to help people around him.
20. I love that he will watch the bachelor with me! Its so fun to talk about all the girls and predict what will happen . Jake tends to be right about most of the outcomes of the shows.
21. I love how much my family loves jake! we are moving to texas in January and Im not sure if my family is more excited to have me there or Jake :)
22. I love that jake has always wanted to be good! His mom tells me frequently that Jake has pretty much been perfect his whole life. She rarely had to remind him to behave!
23. I love that Jake is always up for a good time! He always wants to go do fun things and is always so fun to do things with!
24. I love how much he loved his little puppy Jack! He got a little dog 2 weeks before he met me and then had to give him away when we got married. I know it broke his heart to have to give the little guy up. I am hoping one day Ill be nice enough to let him get another dog :)
25. I love how affectionate Jake is with me! I see people who have gotten married and dont hold hands anymore or hug or kiss, but Jake is great to always hold my hand and give me lots of lovin!!
26. I love that Jake married me! I lucked out with the best husband EVER!! I am so excited for many more birthdays to spend with my little Jakey!!

BDAY, VDAY, and THE BABY BUMP!!!
So I am apparently WAY BEHIND in my blogging!!! I will back up just for a bit and talk about my bday which is February 15 and about Valentines Day which is just the day before!! Last year I had to work on Valentines day, so I thought I needed to make up for last year by going to stay at the Grand America downtown for the weekend! Jake and I got married in the Salt Lake temple and then had our reception at the Grand America hotel. We actually booked a room at the Little America across the street, ( cause the grand is a bit pricey ), but when I checked in at the LIttle America, they told Jake and I that we had been upgraded to one of their nicest suites at the GRAND AMERICA !! I was sooooo excited!! We went over and checked in and then had the best weekend ever at the Grand America. I dont know if you have ever had brunch there on a Sunday, but its probably the best meal you will ever eat! Jake made me a cute Valentines basket with all my favorite candy and a cute card and a bottle of sparkling cider and some glasses. I got him some clothes and a massage kit from bath and body works :) the morning of my birthday, Jake woke me up before brunch and showed me a dvd he had made me with about 50 pictures that he had put to music, I of course cried and told him how much I loved it!! It was the best valentines/b-day weekend ever!!
PREGNANCY----- so i have to be honest, being pregnant for me has pretty much been a piece of cake! I still have yet to get sick really , which trust me, i am VERY grateful for. My only real symptoms have been fatigue, emotional wreck at times, and I am finally at 6 months starting to not be able to fit in the majority of my clothes! I have had a few growing pain incidences that were not very fun. I woke up a few times in the night with the worst pains ever , but luckily Jake was there to remind me that i am PREGNANT and the Dr had just told me at my last visit that with your stretching ligaments, you are bound to get some pain! I am glad Jake comes to all my appointments, because my memory is not very good these days! I really have enjoyed being pregnant and being able to feel little BRITTON kick and move inside me. Jake can finally feel him kick which is really fun. Sometimes he moves around so much that it makes me a little sick, but it only lasts for a bit! We had our extensive 20 week ultrasound and were able to see that EVERYTHING looks great! Britton likes to keep his head face down looking at my spine, so we have yet to see the little guys face! :( Jake and I both are sooo happy to be parents soon!
SCHOOL--- SO I only have about 6 weeks left of nursing school! This last semester is by far the hardest yet. I not only have class up in salt lake a few times a week, but I am working in the ER right now and am doing 12 hour shifts there! I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel which is great! Jake is two weeks away from taking his finals , but since he is going to school this summer, it doesn't really give him that much of a break :( Actually his finals this summer are the week I am due, so we will see how that goes!
